Top Atlanta Wedding Venues to Consider for Your Big Day

Atlanta is one of my absolute favorite cities in the Southeast for weddings! Whether you’re local to Atlanta or interested in choosing it for a destination wedding, there are many incredible venues in & around the city that make it worthwhile. Whether you’re envisioning a sleek downtown celebration or a romantic garden affair, Atlanta is likely home to the perfect venue to match your vision. Here are a few standout venues to consider as you plan your big day:

1. The Swan House at Atlanta History Center

To kick off this list of top Atlanta wedding venues is none other than The Swan House at the Atlanta History Center. This is probably one of Atlanta’s most popular wedding venues and for a very good reason. Nestled in the heart of Buckhead, this stunning historic mansion offers sweeping staircases, grand architecture, and lush gardens. The whole property has a Gatsby-level grandeur & will make you and your guests feel like you stepped into the setting of a beautiful, classic film. The Swan House is a dream come true for couples seeking a romantic, fairytale wedding in the heart of Buckhead.

2. Summerour Studio

Next on the list is Summerour Studio, located in Atlanta’s Westside. The best way to describe the space at Summerour Studio is a space where industrial chic meets European-inspired design & architecture. This venue boasts exposed brick walls, soaring ceilings with romantic archways, ivy-covered courtyards, and warm, old-world textures that feel like a hidden villa tucked away in a modern city. Not to mention, it has a stunning view of the Atlanta skyline from the courtyard. For the design-forward couples who want a modern venue without sacrificing character, this one is definitely worth checking out.

3. Cator Woolford Gardens

Tucked away in the quiet, historic neighborhood of Druid Hills, Cator Woolford Gardens is one of Atlanta’s best-kept secrets. With its Italian-style architecture, winding stone staircases, and canopy of old-growth trees, it feels more like a European garden than a venue just minutes from the city. It’s the kind of place that feels effortlessly romantic—perfect for intimate ceremonies, spring weddings, and golden-hour portraits. If you’re dreaming of a wedding surrounded by nature, charm, and a little old-world magic, this venue is hard to beat. Outside of being one of Atlanta’s top wedding venues, Cator Woolford Gardens is also a widely popular destination for engagement photos & other milestone photography sessions!

4. The Carlyle

The Carlyle is pretty different from the other Atlanta wedding venues I’ve shared so far in this post, but it has so much to offer if you’re a couple that is looking for a space with a blank canvas. Its minimal, open floor plan makes it perfect for those who want to fully customize their decor and overall look and feel of their wedding day. To be fully transparent, if you’re looking for a space to come ready with a lot of decor, this might not be the venue for you. On the flip side of that, The Carlyle couldn’t be any more perfect for couples who want to bring their own bold vision to life.

5. The Inn at Serenbe

I debated on whether or not to include this one because it’s not technically in Atlanta. With that said, it’s too good of a venue to leave off of the list entirely & it’s only around a 40 minute drive outside of the city–definitely worth the drive, in my opinion, for everything it has to offer. The Inn at Serenbe offers a picturesque retreat that spans over 1,000 acres of preserved forestland, wildflower meadows, scenic trails, waterfalls & a lake. With six different ceremony and reception locations on the Inn’s grounds, this venue provides a lot of versatility & natural beauty. The whole property feels like something straight out of a storybook, offering a beautiful backdrop for those that want to get out of the city for their wedding weekend.

No matter what type of wedding you’re envisioning, Atlanta’s wide variety of venues offer something for every couple. From venues with historic charm to modern edge, Atlanta has a ton to offer. If none of the venues in this list stand out to you & you want to explore some other options in Atlanta, feel free to reach out to me! At the end of the day, the venue you choose is the backdrop for your entire wedding day, sets the tone for every detail that follows in the wedding planning process & is preserved in photos for years to come.
