Spring Wedding Inspiration

Spring is when everything starts to feel alive again, with longer, warmer days and color making its way back. It’s a season that feels effortless in many ways, but what’s been especially inspiring lately is how couples are choosing to interpret it in more unexpected ways. Now that spring has officially begun, I wanted to share some spring wedding inspiration with all of you.

Spring inspiration I keep coming back to and know will continue to shape both my work and my clients’ vision is the use of modern spaces. Social clubs, museums, rooftop cityscapes—there’s something compelling about couples inviting their wedding team to transform these environments into something deeply personal, something entirely their own. It’s the contrast between clean, architectural spaces and the organic softness of spring that is bringing me a fresh perspective and also seems to be at the forefront of Spring wedding inspiration in 2026.

Modern Spaces

More couples are stepping away from traditional venues and leaning into spaces that feel unique to them. Modern environments like art museums, private clubs, and rooftops offer a blank canvas. Spaces like these are able to be reimagined and transformed rather than simply decorated.

What makes these spaces so impactful is the balance they create. Clean lines, open layouts, and architectural details provide structure, while florals, textures, and personal elements bring warmth and movement.

These environments allow for a different kind of storytelling from a photography perspective. The contrast between modern design and natural, emotional moments creates imagery that feels both elevated and grounded. Something that stands out without feeling forced.

Expressive Design

Alongside the shift in venue choices, design itself is evolving. Spring weddings are no longer defined by one specific look. Instead, couples are blending elements, like pairing minimal, modern tablescapes with expressive florals, or combining structured layouts with soft, organic details.

There’s confidence in this approach and I’m all for it. Rather than following a formula, couples are choosing what resonates with them and building a design that feels intentional. Clean place settings, sculptural installations, and thoughtful use of space all contribute to a look that feels simultaneously editorial and personal.

Artful Boutonnieres

On this same note of expressive design, even boutonnieres and other commonly overlooked details are getting the memo. Boutonnieres seem to look the exact same for the past 20 years up until recently. They’re evolving from something purely plain and traditional into something more artful.

Instead of standard floral pins, couples are opting for unique textures, unexpected color combinations, and designs that feel more like miniature arrangements. These small details may seem subtle, but they add another layer of personality and intention to the overall look. And often, it’s these details that you might not expect that stand out most in photographs.

A Season That Supports Creativity

What makes spring such a strong foundation for all of this is its natural versatility. The light is soft, the environment feels alive, and there’s an ease to the season that allows creativity to take the lead.

Whether it’s transforming a modern rooftop into an intimate ceremony space or bringing warmth into a clean, architectural venue, spring creates the perfect balance between structure and vibrant beauty.
