2025: A Year of Clarity & Presence

Rather than feeling chaotic or overwhelming, 2025 felt grounding. I stepped away from noise, trends, and the constant pressure of what I “should” be doing as a wedding photographer. Instead, I focused on being fully there for my couples, trusting the process, and allowing wedding days to unfold naturally.

As I reflect on 2025 & look ahead to 2026, the word “presence” is at the forefront of my mind and seems to be a common theme in all aspects. It applies to myself, both personally & creatively as a photographer. I strive to be present as a business-owner to constantly evolve into what feels right. It’s so important to me to be fully present during each wedding day I’m apart of, capturing moments that feel authentic. It applies to how I want my couples to be ( & even their wedding party + guests)—present in the fleeting moments of the day instead of feeling the need to perform for the camera. Lastly, it applies to my outlook on the year ahead and all the unexpected beauty it will hold.

Creative Reflection

Creatively, 2025 reminded me of the importance of trusting the pace of the day, the people in it, and the moments as they naturally unfold. Instead of directing every second, I leaned further into allowing significant moments to happen organically, while still guiding them with an editorial eye.

Photographing what feels honest and emotionally true to the client’s love story, rather than what simply looks impressive, created work that feels more meaningful, timeless, and deeply connected to the couples and their stories.

My Business Goals for 2026

As I look toward 2026 from a business perspective, my focus is on refining what I’ve established over the past year (& even years prior since starting my business.) That means aligning my pricing and offerings with the true value of the work, building a business designed for longevity rather than burnout, and trusting myself in both creative and strategic decisions. Success is no longer measured by numbers alone, but by balance, fulfillment, and the ability to continue showing up fully for my clients and my craft.

Looking Ahead: Intentions for 2026 & Future Years

Looking ahead, one of my main goals is to create even more meaningful, immersive experiences for my couples. I’d love to be a part of more destination and multi-day celebrations. Above all, I hope to continue to work with couples who value trust, artistry, and emotional presence—those who care less about perfection and more about how the day feels.

While these are just a few goals & intentions I have set for 2026, I rest easy knowing that this next year will hold far more than I could ever even plan for & that it will likely exceed anything I’ve imagined. The belief that the unexpected, unplanned moments end up turning out more beautiful than those that are planned for is something that goes beyond my profession & that I constantly apply in my personal life. Just trust the process & let what’s meant to find you, find you!
